Revisiting Job: Worship

Share post ->

Job 1:20-21

At this, Job got up and tore his robe and shaved his head. Then he fell to the ground in worship and said:

“Naked I came from my mother’s womb,
and naked I will depart.
The LORD gave and the LORD has taken away;
may the name of the LORD be praised.”

This is the passage right after the Lord let Satan to take away all Job’s sons and daughters and his possessions…
Yesterday, I was sharing with a brother how Job worshiped the Lord at the lowest point of his life.   How often do I associate worship with cheerful, feel good.  Job worshiped and gave Praise to the Lord even at the worst of his life.
