Messing around

My friend, Marc Wong, came along with me on a training ride last year in August. It was my last ride before heading to World Transplant Games 2009.

Tonight I was messing around with one of the photos.

January It seems that I have fallen off the blogasphere. Going on a bit of a hiatus. We are renovating the house. Everything is moved down to the basement. Tonight, I bought my bike up for a quick 2 hr ride. I went snowshoeing last Sat. It was nice. As much as I want to go more, there isn’t that much snow here. This year had been unreasonably warm. Running wise my left foot is getting sore...

Still around. Been quite on the blog front. I am still around. Been training again :). Well not really training..just running, riding and swimming around. On Sat, met up with Darren and rode for 2:45. Well i rode for 2:45 and he rode for 2:30 b/c he spent 15 min waiting for me :P. Good to be in the hills at Orangeville area. It was good to hang out with Darren again. He got a new rocket. The P3C...

The best part about running Haven’t update this blog for a while..I have been slowing getting back on training. Swimming 2 k, 2-3 times a week. Riding and running whenever. I just came back from a semi long run (17 km). It was easy down the trail and back. In the last 30 min, my stomach was growling and all I thought about was chocolate. Huge temptation to stop at McDonalds or the gas...

Australia Bound!

World Transplant Games 2009, here I come. Did a quick video last night :). All packed and ready to go!

Did one last miles repeat yesterday.

6:25, 6:45, 6:57

Miles repeatPreparing for the upcoming Transplant Games, I have been running around the tracks. The training is quite simple. Run one mile (4 laps). Then one lap easy. Do it three times. In most cases, I run too hard that after the second mile I had to call it off. Yesterday I was running the tracks. It just finished raining. The track was still soft. A certain part of the track had pool of water...

A conversation Friend: ….im tempted to signup for the 5k..but i remember the convo i had with you back awhile ago…and how there is no pt to pay to run 5k i want to do a 10k. My response: if u pay..u might as well get your money worth 5 k is 35 bucks? marathon is 70 bucks. Gotta get the bang for the dollar…be a marathon man 😀 honestly it doesn’t really matter as long as u...

A short ride On Sun, I met up with a friend to go for an easy ride. It wasn’t suppose to be long. Just an hour or two. It turned out to be shorter. 40 min into the ride, I had a slow leak in my rear tire. My friend was a new rider and so I was showing him how to change the tube. Well, it took me 30 min of teeth grinding, finger gripping to change my tube. I forgot how tight the rear tire...

Canada Day Got up at 6 something to meet up with Darren and a few tri boys for an open water swim.Swim for 30-40 min. My left shoulder was tight.Went home, ride for 40 min. Just holding a HIM pace. Because of the holiday, the road has no cars….nice! Then ran down the street (400m) to grab a newspaper. Now eating breakfast….scramble eggs plus cheese with ham and grounded...

I will stop when I stop having fun Yesterday, I did a 1 hr 50 min run. 15 min warm up, 30 min Half Ironman Race pace (5 min/k), 6 min EZ, 30 min HIM race pace again and 20 min cool down. This is my last hard run session and taper is rolling in. The reality is that the EZ and the cool down pace was almost as fast as my Half Ironman race pace. My legs were feeling it. It was tough but it felt good...
