How do you draw your line? Had an interesting conversation with my friend a few days ago. One of the topics that we discuss is drinking. When it comes to Christian living, we are told to not fall into drunkeness (Ephesians 5:18, Proverbs 23:20-21 etc.). My friend noticed that I tend to exclude everything and then add exceptions. In the case of drinking, I would exclude all alcohol and then add...
Christmas 2006 In and Out 1. I bought new clothes. Two dress shirts, two under shirts, belt and a pair of casual dress shoes. A whole year of shopping done in a few days 🙂 I am tempted to get more shirts BUT I figure I have enough in my closet already. Always need more tri gears though 😀 2. My mom had been stealing borrowing my fuel belt bottle. So I brought an extra one for her. The bottle comes...
It does not matter how slow you go as long as you do not stop I stole this from Neoprene Wedgie’s blog. For this week, I have done no exercise. None. My right butt is still healing and my chest is a bit sore (from Tremblant). The chest sore feels like a bone bruise than an actual muscle sore. Tomorrow, going to see the doc just in case. I miss running. I miss the emptiness. I miss the quiet...
Mt Tremblant kicked my butt…literrally. I am back. And I got my butt kick. Oh Mr Tremblant. That was painful. We left Toronto at midnight. It was 8 am by the time the bus arrived at the hotel. Len and I slept on the bus the whole time. Not very comfy but my body need rest for the snowboarding I am going to do. It was warm. Slushy. It was nice up on the mountain top, though. It’s good...
Before I start my post, I am packed and ready to go to Tremblant. I forgot to bring a real winter jacket b/c I figure I wouldn’t need one since the weather is so warm. Amd we all know how inaccurate the weatherman can be. I will see if my friend has an extra one I can borrow. I got my runners and got a new swim toy 🙂 ————–Heart of the Matter by Don Henley If...

Hardest Training Ever! Yesterday morning was the hardest training I ever had for a long time. Got up at 7 am. I did not want to go out. Good thing I put on my heart rate monitor and wore my long sleeve tech shirt before I head to bed. It will be illogical for me to put those on and not use them. Logic wins! Went out the door and did a 20 min jog. Ack. It takes my body 15 min to warm up. So...
Walk the talk.Last night I talked to my mom about my theory on healthy living: – sleep 7-8 hr a day– eat as much veges and fruits as you can– reduce as much fast food and junk as you can– keep your life stress free (don’t cramp with too much activities) She asked me which book I read that from…I told her it was common sense. For December, I will try and sleep 8...
Notes from Tri Swim Clinic I think I am a swimmer now. McMaster University was where OAT (Ontario Associations of Triathletes) started. A number of triathletes from around the world come to here to train. They have some of the best facilities in Ontario. It was organized by C3 (Canada Cross-Training Club). I like to thank Barrie Shepley (Olmypic Coach, founder of OAT and C3) for organizing a...
