I know I am taking this out of context. It’s good to see someone fighting the good fight.
Book Reflection: A Work of Heart – Commonplace
I finished reading A Work of Heart by Reggie McNeal last night. Very good read. The last chapter was particularly good. He went through the pains and joy of following God. A very good way of looking at how a spiritual leader requires at utmost relationship with Him. If we take a look at all the great leaders in the Bible, Jesus, David, Abraham and Moses, the commonality that...

Repost: Casual vs Captive
Taken from a friend’s blog: George Barna in The Seven Faith Tribes: Who They Are, What They Believe, and Why They Matter Casual Christianity is faith in moderation. It allows them to feel religious without having to prioritize...
Monday: Beginning of a good week

We also sort them base on cleanness and for the right season. There’s not enough room to keep winter clothes in the summer time. Even if they are brand new we have to give it to Good...

Encouragement…
Yesterday after Sunday School… Me: “More motivation? How much more motivation do we need? I am organizing a mission trip this summer to St James Town. We have a mission month on Oct. If we don’t find Jesus’ Great Commission motivating..how can I, a man, do more?“ Brother: “Well..they need more encouragement.“ Perhaps it is the fact...
Samson, a man of faith!?!
A long long time ago, my English Pastor wore a wig on the pulpit. It was pretty funny. The sermon was about how Samson’s strength is not from his hair but from God. (Source: Wikipedia) In most of the lessons I learnt, whether from Sunday School or fellowship, at the end of it is that we shouldn’t be like Samson. After all, we had one of the judges who kept...

Leadership, Get Over it and dying to oneself

It is about how God works through leaders and their heart (not just the process or the steps to effecive leadership). One of the chapters is called Conflict This portion resonant to what I experience in Church, as a leader and in life… “…that no matter how noble...
