This morning I wasn’t feeling well and took the day off. The afternoon was spent cleaning up my shelves.

Most of the books were purchased for the courses I take at McMaster Divinity Collenge. I also have a compilation of triathlon, training, nutrition, business related and World War 2.

Some I bought out of curiousity. Some were given as a gift.  Some were course requirement.

Some were hidden treasures and I cherished them by making notes on them.

Some I judged by the book cover and thought it is a good read. It is only diving into the first chapter I see it wasnt what I expected. Ironically, those are kept in mint condition.

Though I am a heavy reader, my aim is not to read every book on the shelve. I have two piles I haven’t touch ready to donate to the library.

If the books are an indicator of anything, they point of my direction, my passion and my interest for the past five years. The collection of books will no doubt continue to grow. I just hope my mind will broaden as well.

[Side Note: Notice the gatorade in the top right corner. 🙂 Nutrition drink for those endless nights hammering to get a course paper done :P.  Seriously, the gatorade is for triathlon training…]

Fruit for thought: The Rise and Fall of Mars Hill

I recently finished listening to the whole series of podcasts on The Rise and Fall of Mars Hill. It has been a sobering podcast to listen to. I highly recommend for those who are in seminary or going to ministry full-time to listen to. It is a good reminder that

Five Books Recommended for Christian Parents

Here are a few books I highly recommend for Christian parents. I read them for my M Div thesis. My thesis was persuading how parents should discipling their children, not the church. Book #1 – The Disciple-making Parent by Chap Bettis I never thought my role as a father was
