Busy-ness

Share post ->

I love to be busy. I love crossing over the items on the many to do list.

Sometimes at work, I get in a mode where I just blast one email after another.  Just get it done.

Though, lately, perhaps I am too busy to even jot down what’s been going on in my life.

The busier I gets, the more I want to get stuff done and it leads to even busier.

It is time to slow down and seek Him.

All the ministries after all is given by Him.  His Spirit is the origin and the sustainer of all things.

……will jot more :O)

On a side note…yesterday, I discovered a great trail not too far from my house.  It’s along the river with trees towering on either side…reminded me of Psalm 1.

Blessed is the one
who does not walk in step with the wicked
or stand in the way that sinners take
or sit in the company of mockers,
but whose delight is in the law of the LORD,
and who meditates on his law day and night.
That person is like a tree planted by streams of water,
which yields its fruit in season
and whose leaf does not wither—
whatever they do prospers.

Not so the wicked!
They are like chaff
that the wind blows away.
Therefore the wicked will not stand in the judgment,
nor sinners in the assembly of the righteous.

For the LORD watches over the way of the righteous,
but the way of the wicked leads to destruction.

Dusting off this blog

Fruit for thought: The Rise and Fall of Mars Hill

I recently finished listening to the whole series of podcasts on The Rise and Fall of Mars Hill. It has been a sobering podcast to listen to. I highly recommend for those who are in seminary or going to ministry full-time to listen to. It is a good reminder that

Five Books Recommended for Christian Parents

Here are a few books I highly recommend for Christian parents. I read them for my M Div thesis. My thesis was persuading how parents should discipling their children, not the church. Book #1 – The Disciple-making Parent by Chap Bettis I never thought my role as a father was
