That felt good!
So it has been a week since I did my Half Ironman. I am feeling super. Over the weekend I went to Rhode Island. The drive is 11 hr and I figure if I can be on the saddle for 8 hours, I can be on the driver seat for just as long.
My toes are still black (I need to post some lovely pics to show). The good thing is that they ain’t sore no more. I figure I can start running again.
I have a marathon in mid Oct and will be focusing on pounding the pavement.
Despite that, Monday and Tuesday I took my bike out for a ride. The weather was too lovely to pass up.
Yesterday the ride was a blast. I got off my saddle and hammer the paddle every climb. I was just aiming to go hard but not all out. I went all out on Mon and felt the content of my stomach. This time, I just push enough that I breathe hard.
Wow, that felt GOOD!! Even in the Half Ironman, I kept myself back to save myself for the run.
I kept saying as I rode back home with a grin on my face. That felt good!
I have a number of friends who wants to do half marathon. We are trying to organize a group run. I don’t have a lot of friends that are into running (or endurance sports). So it will be good time to bond with each other…have a great day everyone!!!
Hey all,
Wow, great weather we have for the past two days.
Just wondering how’s ur schedule like. For me, I am starting marathon training so this pretty much means that I will be running everyday.
I am thinking of going to Lakeshore trail (Humber River by Lakeshore). It is a nice trail that stretch for 5 km or so along Lake Ontario. I haven’t gone there for a while and like to visit it sometime.
If you guys are interested, please let me know.
